2012 marks the 100th centennial of the Calgary Stampede and to celebrate, the Edmonton Flight Information Region along with Vatcan are inviting all pilots and virtual airlines to join us for the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth! Fly into Calgary International Airport (CYYC) as many times as you would like on the evening of July 7th, and join us for what promises to be the greatest and best Grandstand Show and Fireworks display celebrating the centennial.

Calgary International Airport, as well as other airports within the Edmonton FIR and en-route controllers will be on hand to handle the traffic jam as pilots from across North America stampede their way towards Calgary. Calgary features three runways, capable of handling the largest aircraft in the world with Rwy 16/34 over 12,500' in length.
