VATSIM Oceania Region

VATSIM Oceania Region (VATOCE) administers a large geographical area in the South Pacific which includes Australia, New Zealand and all the island nations in the South Pacific, including many parts of Antarctica. The Region team is:-

Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna.

VATPAC has responsibility for all ATC and pilot services in Australia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands,  Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna.

VATPAC runs weekly "Australia Online" events every Tuesday night (Australian time) and VFR events each Friday night (repeated on Sunday nights). Full details of these events can be found in the VATPAC forums

VATNZ has responsibility for all ATC and pilot services in New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands and Niue.

VATNZ runs weekly "Sunday Night Operations" (SNO) each Sunday night (New Zealand time) and VFR events throughout the year. Full details of these events can be found on the VATNZ website.

VATNZ has a flight and ATC booking interface using Vroute.info which displays flight and ATC bookings on the VATNZ homepage. A large percentage of VATNZ's airspace is OCEANIC and VATNZ have provided a number of excellent tools for reporting and use of SELCAL. Full details on the VATNZ Website.
