VATSIM Notice to Airmen (NOTAM)

Issued by Jeff Clark (810352), 03-Jun-2006 10:51 UTC

Dear VATSIM Member,

Recently, VATSIM formed a new team of controllers called

“The Hit Squad” whose job would be to help accelerate the

growth of younger ACC’s on our network by providing extra

training for controllers and staffing for pilots interested

in coming to these areas.

We are pleased to announce that the first ACC that we have

been working, India, is now ready for your visits and support.

Pilots are invited to visit http://india.vatsim.info where they

can find all the charts they need to fly to this exciting new

area, and where they will find a team of controllers waiting

to handle them.

We are busy training new controllers to work this airspace as

well. People from this part of the world, or with connections

to this part of the world are especially welcome to join our

training programme – if you are interested in controlling in

India, please send an e-mail to chief@india.vatsim.info,

explaining your current qualifications (if any) and the reason

why you want to control in India.

As you all know, the growth of new ACC’s depends on your

support, and for our new trainees to succeed in creating a

viable, permanent presesnce on VATSIM, they need pilots to fly

to their airports, and for controllers to staff their scopes.

We hope we can count on all of you to help make a success of

India, and all of our future projects.

Sincerely,

J. Clark, on behalf of the VATSIM Hit Squad
